What is the "DivineBackNine" all about?
DivineBackNine was created so guys could golf on a regular basis throughout the year without breaking the bank or burdening schedules. DivineBackNine is a self-supporting outreach of Community Christian Church in collaboration with several other churches and businesses.
What is a "Back 9" round?
These are 9-hole golf rounds with cart set up at various courses to be played on the back 9 holes within the first hour after sunrise. We have dozens of these rounds available every week for our group to use. The morning of the tee-time, groups of up to 4 will be formed to play in our typical Scramble Format, or players can choose to play in a format of their choice (as long as they can finish in a timely fashion).
Can I play a full 18-hole round?
Most of our outdoor rounds are set up for 9-holes early in the morning. Some courses allow our players to pay a discounted fee to start on the front and play a full round. We have other discounted golf available throughout the year as we make new arrangements with our participating locations.
How much does it cost to golf?
Most rounds cost 50% (or less) of the normal price for that round at the course. All rounds include cart; some rounds include driving range (prior to the round).
How do I sign up for a round?
To sign up for tee times, use the Tee Sheet link. For each round you can also purchase additional spots for any guests that will be playing with you. After selecting your desired rounds you will be directed to purchase the rounds using a credit card or PayPal account.
How do I cancel or change a round?
Cancel or change a round on the Contact Us page.
What if my round gets rained out?
Always check your email and the Twitter feed at the TWEETS page before your round for updates when the weather is questionable. If the weather looks bad and you don't want to risk it, you can reschedule the round yourself on the Contact Us page. If you tried to play the round but it was cancelled or cut short due to bad weather or other course restrictions, fill out the form on the Contact Us page to request a make up round.
Where do I meet for my golf round?
Look for other guys from DBN outside the clubhouse, on the putting green, or on the range.
Do I need to be part of a Bible Study or church to participate?
No; we only ask that you act appropriately and follow course etiquette. But if you ever want to participate, we are glad to include you.
Are women or children allowed to play?
Though the outreach of this group is geared toward men, golf is available to anyone. In fact, we encourage you to bring your wife, girlfriend, or children in order to strengthen those bonds. Come and join us!
