What is the "DivineBackNine" all about?
DivineBackNine was created so guys could golf on a regular basis throughout the year without breaking the bank or burdening schedules. DivineBackNine is a self-supporting outreach of Community Christian Church in collaboration with several other churches and businesses.
What is a "Back 9" round?
Before Covid changed things, these rounds were the cheapest and most popular for our group. These are 9-hole golf rounds with cart set up at various courses to be played on the back 9 holes within the first hour after sunrise, usually played in a Scramble format. Currently we don't have arrangements with any golf course for these rounds, but we have other good deals on early morning 18 hole or twilight rounds at local courses. Check the "Sign Up" tab for details.
Where do you play in the winter?
We typically have arrangements with local establishments that have heated bays, allowing us to play in the winter. Copyright laws prohibit me from mentioning them by name or posting them on a signup sheet, so these opportunities are kept off line. If you'd like to play with a group in the winter months, reach out to markdwyer@communitychristian.org to request more information.
How much does it cost to golf?
We shop around for the best deals, and often arrange discounts with local courses. Check the Sign Up sheets for prices and availability.
How do I sign up for a round?
To sign up for tee times, use the Sign Up link at the top of the page.
How do I cancel or change a round?
Cancel or change a round on the Contact Us page, or by modifying your sign up using the SignUp Genius app (you must have an account to do this).
Where do I meet for my golf round?
Look for other guys from DBN outside the clubhouse, on the putting green, on the range, or at the front desk.
Do I need to be part of a Bible Study or church to participate?
No; we only ask that you act appropriately and follow course etiquette.
Are women or children allowed to play?
Though the outreach of this group is geared toward men, golf is available to anyone. In fact, we encourage you to bring your wife, girlfriend, or children in order to strengthen those bonds. Come and join us!
